I wish Dalton could have heard that before launching Dalton Atomic Theory. This guy stated that “Matter is made up of tiny indivisible particles called atoms” that is to say you can’t divide an atom. Few years later many scientists proved him wrong. Now we have protons, electron and neutrons and vast amount of energy. That has been the greatest scientific revolutions in past centuries.
Years ago, it was believed that no human being could ever break the 4 minute mile barrier, i.e. a man cannot run 1 mile below 4 minutes. In April 1954 Roger Bannister broke it and many more did it within weeks and to the recent reports over 25,000 people including high school kids have done it.
One guru said “You weren’t put on this earth to simply break even. You’re here to break rules, break records, and breakthrough”
One day I had a thought that “if all things are possible, why are we doing so poorly and very little” the only reason is “we create our own limitations”. As kids we are born with greater faith that all things are possible. We see great visions and dream big. When we are growing the world start to teach us that, there are things that cannot be done. This drains our faith and induces fear in us. That’s the reason J. A. Holmes said “Never tell a young person that something cannot be done. God may have been waiting for centuries for somebody ignorant enough of the impossible to do that thing” God has given us unlimited potentials, abilities that has no end, but we chose to be little and not to be great, we choose to be the victims and not the victors, we choose complacency and deny growth, we choose to procrastinate than taking actions, we choose to live our fears and quench the courage to live our dreams, we choose to satisfy men and forget to live our unique purpose, we choose mediocrity and forget greatness, we choose fear and denounce faith. That’s the reason we die full and live empty instead of living full and die empty, we focus on employment instead of deployment, receiving instead of giving, following instead of leading.
The history tells me, people who have been great dared to do the impossible until the impossible declared I’M POSSIBLE. They refused to stay in mediocrity and got out of their comfort zone… they refused to go along the laid down routines and frustrate traditions... They become great when the circumstances were booing, “You can’t do it” but greatness was calling in their hearts saying “You belong to the top, you have a position there”. So they refused to be average and now we’ve the outstanding records of great men who did wonderful actions….
When I remember of their actions, the greatest hope and desire arise from the deepest of my heart,

Think of Jesus, the Christ: he was mocked “the son of a mere carpenter” he was not moved by the greatest setbacks he faced on the face of the earth but he went on doing miracles and his success hasn’t detour him instead he remain intact with his purpose even when they wanted to make him a king. And now he became the person having greatest number of followers since the history had began with ever growing connections. His message has remained un-breakable, spreading every corner of the world. He remains an everlasting icon, the greatest and only hope of the glory for all human kind. Think of him.
Think of Bill Gates: I’m sure one of the voice he heard was “You’re just a drop out from Harvard University” especially when he failed from his first business venture, but the man kept his passion until Microsoft hit the world and he become The richest man on the planet earth. He broke the theory that if you don’t study and get good grades you don’t get job, you don’t become successful in life. And now he employs from the laymen to professors. That’s great passion.
Think of Mahatma Gandhi: started in South Africa, leading a non-violence resistance that liberated his mother land (India) from colonial oppression. His unique styles alerted the world that there is more than one way of doing things.
Think of Rev. Dr. martin Luther King Jr: People may have thought he was just a mere pastor from Memphis, United States of America. Using the principles laid down by Mahatma Gandhi, he went on leading the greatest movement in the history of United States of America that liberated America from racial segregation. Before his death he stood up and says I have seen the Promised Land-a kind of America he has been dreaming off.
Think of Nelson Mandela: He stayed in prison for 27 years. Yet when he was back from jail his passion to see free South Africa without apartheid was still burning. He led his nation out of the valley of discrimination until they overcome. And he stated “it’s always seems impossible until it’s done” so he did it.
Think of Steve Jobs: we all know ipad, iphone, imac, and apple and the revolution brought by this man in the world of communication with digital electronics. But Steve job used to sleep on the floor in friend’s rooms, returning Coke bottles for food, money, and getting weekly free meals at a local temple. When his time to shine came at hands his circumstances never stopped him. He ended up becoming among the world’s influencers. He died but his mark and legacy still we see.
Think of Joyce Meyer: this famous woman preacher was sexually, mentally, emotionally and verbally abused by her father as far back as she can remember until she left home at the age of eighteen.
Think of Sylvester Stallone: Born to Frank and Jackie Stallone on July 6th, 1946, his life was difficult right from the beginning. During a complicated and difficult birth, doctors accidentally severed a facial nerve – an accident that resulted in Stallone's unique facial expressions and slightly slurred speech. These two became his future trademarks as an actor. He went from odds job to writing and selling scripts, and went broke. He sold his dog to a stranger. Through persistence in script writing and later an actor in his first movie Rocky – an underdog sport story Stallone set out to become one of Hollywood's most bankable action stars. You all know RAMBO and the Expendables.
Think of Les Brown: As a child he was not attention to schoolwork, his restless energy, and the failure of his teachers to recognize his true potential, resulted in his being mislabeled as a slow learner-Educable mental retarded (EMR). The label and the stigma stayed with him, damaging his self-esteem to such an extent that it took several years to overcome. He was liberated by his teacher who told him “People’s opinion on you does not have to become your reality”. He rose from a fast-talking DJ to broadcast manager; from community activist to community leader; from political commentator to three-term legislator; and from a banquet and nightclub MC to premier keynote speaker. Brown is the author of the highly acclaimed and successful books Live Your Dreams and It's Not Over Until You Win. He is the former host of The Les Brown Show, a nationally syndicated daily television talk show in US.
Think of Albert Einstein: Most of us take Einstein’s name as synonymous with genius, but he didn’t always show such promise. He did not speak until he was four and did not read until he was seven, causing his teachers and parents to think he was mentally handicapped, slow and anti-social. Eventually, he was expelled from school and was refused admittance to the Zurich Polytechnic School. It might have taken him a bit longer, but most people would agree that he caught on pretty well in the end, winning the Nobel Prize and changing the face of modern physics.
Think of Michael Jordan: Most people wouldn’t believe that a man often lauded as the best basketball player of all time was actually cut from his high school basketball team. He didn’t let this setback stop him from playing the game and he has stated, “I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot, and I missed. I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
Think of Oprah Winfrey: Most people know Oprah as one of the most iconic faces on TV as well as one of the richest and most successful women in the world. Oprah faced a hard road to get to that position, however, enduring a rough and often abusive childhood as well as numerous career setbacks including being fired from her job as a television reporter because she was “unfit for TV.”

Now I want you to think of yourself, what people have told you, they said your education is not enough, you finances equal nothing, your background is very poor, and you are from the poor family. What kind of pictures are you getting from your circumstances? Are they telling “You will amount to nothing in the future”? It is not about the place of your origin, nor the colour of your skin, like Dr. David Oyedepo said “black is not synonymous to lack, and being white is not to be right” and “Those who are sensitive to the colour of their skin will not discover their skills” added Archbishop Benson Idahosa.
What is this nasty world telling you? I want to hear it now speaking from your heart. Did they say “You can’t do it”? No. Don’t take that my dear, you’re the creator of your own destiny, all other men have to watch and get amazed. Because whatever they say to you is just an opinion. I say let God be true and all men be liars. God says “You can do anything if you choose to believe”. Yes, have faith and move on. Step on the face of the earth with the power of legacy. Leave the trails, make new paths, show the world the new treasure, and show them why you came here so uniquely gifted. …. add yourself to the names of the greatest men of our times. The world is waiting for you. Get up now and never give up. All creatures are waiting for your manifestation. It’s about time. It’s your time.
